How is iQ.Suite licensed?
iQ.Suite product licensing is based on mailbox count - not on the number of gateways or servers. Therefore, licensing is based on your email user requirements. A standard license agreement includes one year of Software Maintenance. In addition to buying licensing agreements, licenses may be leased on a time basis. Trial licenses are also available, which allow you to use and test fully functional products for 30 days.
How are licensed products activated?
Activating licensed products requires a valid license file. This file contains information such as mailbox count, operating system, mail system, etc. Upon receipt of this information, the license file is automatically created and sent to you via email or postal mail. Simply follow instructions on copying the file to the directory specified and restart iQ.Suite.

How is a license extended to additional products?
A new valid license file is required to extend a license to additional mailboxes and/or products. License activation is identical to initial license activation.
Where do I get a trial license?
After the initial installation, all iQ.Suite products can be used for 30 days with a trial license. To extend the trial license, please contact a GROUP sales representative who will send you a time-limited license file for your activation.
What is covered by Software Maintenance?
The software license includes free Software Maintenance for one year, after which the Software Maintenance contract can be renewed on an annual basis. Multi-year contracts are also available.
Software Maintenance includes all version updates, service releases, and hot fixes as well as online and email support. In addition, customers with a Software Maintenance contract may access our hotline free of charge. If the Software Maintenance contract covers anti-virus products, it also includes updates of virus signatures and anti-virus engines.

Can I change platforms?
Yes, you can easily migrate to operating system platforms including Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino or SMTP. Changing platforms may, however, require a new license file available through GROUP sales service. A license switchover to another mail platform is possible at any time at a low cost to you.
