CeBIT 2010: GROUP Technologies presents new security solution for the central management of certificates and keys
Eisenach, 18 February 2010 – The guarantee of confidentiality and integrity is an essential component of business email communication. To achieve this, electronic correspondence has to be made secure via certificates and keys. With complex infrastructures, this can rapidly result in a large number of certificates and keys. This year, GROUP Technologies will be bringing yet another new security solution to the market with iQ.Suite KeyManager so that, in future, businesses will be able to maintain an overview and deliver efficient management in this area. This new product will be appearing before a wider public for the first time from 2 to 6 March at CeBIT in Hanover (hall 2, stand B20).
iQ.Suite KeyManager is a new type of solution that enables central management of all certificates and keys within a business via an intuitive, web-based interface. This business application also includes a function for the automated creation of certificates via official Trust Centers. “KeyManager paves the way to greater levels of clarity and efficiency in terms of confidential email communication, and ranks as one more major building block in our encryption product portfolio”, explains Andreas Richter, Director of International Marketing at GROUP Technologies. When used in combination with the iQ.Suite email management solution, KeyManager realises its full performance potential. It communicates seamlessly with the iQ.Suite Crypt encryption solution for example, and makes it possible to use saved certificates and keys to make email communication secure.
As with the overall GROUP Technologies presence at CeBIT, the presentation of the new iQ.Suite KeyManager comes under the heading of data protection. At this year‘s ITK trade fair, the GROUP Business Software AG email, archiving and administration section is putting the spotlight on its full portfolio of solutions for guaranteeing confidentiality, integrity and legal compliance for email communication. iQ.Suite provides the central platform for legally compliant and productive email management, capturing all incoming and outgoing email communication. As a central component of the total solution, iQ.Suite Crypt ensures the continuous encryption and decryption of sensitive emails. The central administration solution, which is ideally suited to B2B communication, has flexible rules, making it easy to manage, and no interaction with the end user is required. This increases acceptance levels for encryption solutions, especially in demanding scenarios. Standard here is support for current encryption procedures such as PGP and S/Mime.
A further important building block of the GROUP Technologies encryption product family, the iQ.Suite WebCrypt web-based encryption solution provides increased confidentiality and data protection levels for B2C communication. Not only are no keys or certificate-based procedures used, but no installations are required for the receiver, either. At the same time, this user-friendly solution also meets the highest safety and quality standards, as recently underlined by the recent successful OPDV certification of WebCrypt. Certification, which is carried out by S-ConSiT GmbH, consists of a programme release to which financial institutions align themselves. This certification enables these institutions to use the solution effortlessly to secure their email communication with customers and business partners.
