Cloud computing and data protection are the main topics at CeBIT 2010: GROUP Live and iQ.Suite KeyManager celebrate their premiere!
Hannover/Eisenach, 09 February 2010 – Cloud computing and data protection are important topics that more and more businesses are talking about. The secure exchange of information via email and the efficient provision of applications are the major requirements here. At this year‘s CeBIT, which runs in Hanover from 2 to 6 March, GROUP Business Software AG experts will therefore be focussing on these exciting topics. The following business areas will be represented on the joint stand with GEDYS IntraWare in hall 2, stand B20: GROUP Technologies, the Email, Archiving and Administration division of GROUP Business Software AG and, for the first time, GROUP Live, the area covering cloud computing and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
GROUP Technologies is training the spotlight on the topic of "Data protection for email communication". For this, iQ.Suite provides the central platform for comprehensive, legally compliant and productive email management. A fundamental component here is the inspection of incoming and outgoing email communication. At the same time, this email management solution provides the basis for the efficient implementation of email encryption solutions: iQ.Suite Crypt for B2B communication and iQ.Suite WebCrypt for B2C communication.
The next member of the encryption product family is eagerly awaited: iQ.Suite KeyManager, which will be presented to the public for the first time at CeBIT. KeyManager is a new kind of solution for the centralised management of certificates and keys with a connection to public Trust Centers. "We are delighted to be adding this trade fair premiere to our email encryption portfolio. With this, we are providing another important building block for delivering secure email communication and making life easier for users", explains Andreas Richter, Director of International Marketing at GROUP Technologies.
GROUP Live put its flexible cloud computing platform for the dynamic delivery, operation, management and monitoring of application environments at the heart of its trade fair presence. Using web-based Platform as a Service technology, software applications can be made SaaS-ready at short notice. This gives independent software providers a short go-to-market time and enables businesses to offer their own application environments "in-the-cloud". The GROUP Live platform delivers great flexibility, economy and high operational availability in IBM computing centres. "Expensive software installations, time-consuming upgrades and cost-driving hardware purchases have finally been consigned to the past along with Platform as a Service", emphasises Constanze Zarth, GROUP Live Managing Director in Europe.
The high quality and innovative nature of the GROUP Live platform became clear very early on, when it won the CTO Innovation Awards, one of the most sought-after IBM Lotus Awards. This rewarded visionary IBM business partners, who have placed themselves at the head of technological development by the innovative and trend-setting implementation of the latest achievements with Lotus. Industry professionals visiting CeBIT can now see this for themselves at the GROUP Business Software AG stand and the IBM stand in the Smarter Work zone (hall 2, stand A10, workstation 22).
